The Lick X M·A·C collaboration required an eye-catching packaging solution to celebrate the launch of Lick’s new matt black paint, perfectly paired with the iconic M·A·C lipstick. The objective was to create a special box that would impress influencers and amplify the brand collaboration. The client specified a round box design with dedicated compartments to hold the paint tin, lipstick, and a brand introduction card. The main challenge lay in the tight production schedule, demanding precision and efficiency to meet the launch timeline while developing an innovative one-of-a-kind packaging solution for the launch.
Our Solution
We designed a bespoke round box, tailored to securely hold the paint tin, lipstick, and brand card. The upper fitment also served as a protective barrier, preventing the paint tin lid from opening during delivery.
Constructed from paper-over-board and wrapped in white silk paper printed to match the matte black tones of the products, the box featured soft-touch lamination for a durable, luxurious matte finish. A silver shoulder detail echoed the M·A·C lipstick’s internal elements, creating a cohesive and elegant unboxing experience.

The collaboration between Lick and M·A·C led to remarkable results, with Black Paint sales increasing by 340% following the launch! The bespoke packaging not only elevated the product's presentation but also created a powerful unboxing experience, driving customer excitement and engagement.
